Our contribution to sustainability

Sustainability with renewable resources

At Packartis, we are committed to continuously reducing our environmental footprint – without compromising the quality of our innovative, safe and sustainable multilayer films. Using state-of-the-art technologies, we increasingly rely on renewable raw materials such as FSC®-certified cardboard and design our production processes to be both eco-friendly and efficient.

In line with the new EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), which sets stricter requirements for recyclability, material use and circular economy, Packartis is working towards the full realisation across all packaging solutions.

FSC® Certification and Resource Efficiency

Since 2022, Packartis's paper and cardboard films are FSC® certified according to the Chain of Custody (CoC) standards, ensuring that all raw materials we use come from responsibly managed sources. In addition, we work closely with our customers to continuously develop thinner film solutions that significantly reduce the use of granulates – without compromising on stability or protective performance.

Towards greater sustainability in the packaging industry

Our sustainable packaging innovations with renewable raw materials and recyclable solutions:

ThermoCart EASY SEP (MAP packaging):
Made of up to 95.8% renewable raw materials (cardboard). Thanks to EASY SEP technology, plastic and cardboard can be easily separated – ideal for mono-material recycling.

SkinCart (SKIN packaging):
A sustainable packaging solution with up to 85% cardboard content, suitable for products requiring direct visibility and high product protection.

MONO films:
Recyclable plastic films designed for the circular economy – resource-efficient and future-proof.

Our next-generation films are also significantly thinner, reducing the use of non-renewable raw materials even further. In addition, optimised transport routes help lower the ecological footprint across the entire supply chain.

Innovative technologies for a clean future

We strategically invest in technological innovations to minimise environmentally harmful substances and processes. Today, a large proportion of our films are already printed and laminated without solvents, reducing the environmental impact even further while improving safety in handling.

Sustainable logistics with decentralised warehousing

Our decentralised warehousing structure enables shorter transport routes, reduces emissions and at the same time increases delivery flexibility. In this way, we make an active contribution to climate protection at the logistics level as well.
